Instructor-Conny Prince Almaraz

Born in the sunny Mexico and dancing since I was 6 years Old.

I grew up with the beat of salsa, cumbia, merengue, and quebradita and at the age of 10, I decided to participate in the Latin Pop town competition. This was my first challenge and I succeed! I walked home not only with the first place prize, but also with the idea that this was only the beginning!

This experience gave me a huge motivation so I dedicated all my free time to do what I liked to do: Dance!

When I was 12 years old I joined a Folk dance group, and we performed at local events and participated in regional and national competitions. At this time I was completely sure that dancing was a very important part of my life!

At the age of 15 years old I became a member of the Latin pop group “Chispita” performing at Festivals and for the local television, what I enjoyed a lot, so as a teenager I couldn’t stop dancing anymore and during my high school I became a choreographer of the representative song for the national day celebration. I never saw dancing as a workout, so to be in form I had aerobics lessons.

ZUMBA in Belgium brought back all the warm memories of my country.

The concept of exercise, dance and fun was so exciting that I couldn’t wait to become an instructor and join the party! I took the official Zumba-Instructor course in the Nederland and the rest is history.

Dancing with Zumba is super fun! You do not feel like you are exercising and one hour later you are sweating! I have been dancing all my life this is a perfect fit for me, Latin rhythms and dancing are in my blood, I want to share it with everybody!!
